Study Sites & Apps

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

This is not an exhaustive list I am sure there are plenty more apps out there that could help you as you learn how to study the Bible. Below are just some apps and sites that I think might help you as you study and read God's Word.

  1. BLB -Blue Letter Bible – This app I highly recommend, because it is an all in one Bible app that has many different translations as well as commentaries, cross references, dictionaries, interlinear (Greek and Hebrew translations), and translation comparisons (between Bible versions/translations). Available for Android, Apple and internet browsers.

  2. You Version – This app has so many different translations of the Bible that are easily accessed for Bible reading anywhere at anytime. It also has helpful tools that allow you to highlight, comment on and share verses. It also has so many other resources like devotionals, and videos. Available for Android and Apple.

  3. Bible with Strongs – You don’t have to get this app if you have Blue Letter Bible, but it is easier to navigate if you want to quickly find the Greek or Hebrew translation of certain words. It is also only in King James. Available for Android and Apple.

  4. Bible. Is - the perfect Scripture engagement tool to share with members of your community. Whether born-and-raised locals or first-generation immigrants, your neighbors need to hear God speak their language. If you haven't already, download the free Bible.is app today to experience and share it with your community.

  5. Bible Gateway App - The award-winning and critically-acclaimed Bible Gateway App is free to download (https://www.biblegateway.com/app). The images below are of the Bible Gateway App in use on a variety of devices.

  6. Bible Hub - is very similar to Blue Letter Bible, but the main difference is when you look a specific verse it shows you that verse in several different translations all in one page. It makes it very easy to look up the different ways one verse can be said. It also has a lot of other interesting tools that you can use. This only available for internet browsers.

  7. Smart Bible Search - This site is just like Google, but for the Bible. It is a little less high tech than Google is, so don't get your expectation too high, but it works nonetheless. This one is also only available for internet browsers.

  8. Literal Word - This site just has the Bible written out, and you can change the format of how it looks for different reading and studying purposes. So, if you are just look for something that has the Bible written out that's where you can find it
